Return To Rio Is Back: Sneaky Sound System, Patrice Bäumel, Nick Warren + More Lead Halloween Spookfest

After a four-year hiatus, the iconic Return to Rio Halloween festival is back with a vengeance.

Get ready to dust off your cobwebs, don your dancing shoes, and prepare for an otherworldly weekend from October 27 to 29 at the Del Rio Riverside Resort in Wisemans Ferry for this year’s highly-anticipated event.

To celebrate its resurrection, the Rio team has conjured up a spellbinding world of wonder, accompanied by a lineup of cutting-edge names in dance and electronic music from across the globe.

International DJ heavyweights like Patrice Bäumel, Mark Farina, Nick Warren, Reznik, Amonita, Mr.C, Bushwacka!, and Lost Desert will keep the crowd cutting shapes on the DF all night, while Australian legends Sneaky Sound System, DJ Anthony Pappa, and Late Nite Tuff Guy will also keep the party going.

Punters will also enjoy an array of Halloween-themed sights and activities, including acts from devilish drag icons, a freak circus, and a Voodoo Fortune Teller.

Not only that, but Pickle’s Family Funerals will be hosting an immersive theatrical experience where Rio revellers will be able to take part in their very own funerals, while The Del Rio piscina will be transformed into a Day of the Dead extravaganza.

Hot Mess in the Flesh will also host a decadent life-drawing experience to ignite your creative fire, while Mindful Clay sessions will empower festivalgoers to create a collective masterpiece. And for those looking to showcase some classic Halloween creativity, pumpkin carving will also be available.

There’ll also be a Wellness Centre offering reiki, massage, and energy work to relax and recharge, as well as Acro Yoga Classes.
