The final Australian show for US music legends KISS has just gotten bigger, with Regurgitator and The Delta Riggs added as local openers.
KISS’ last show in Australia, entitled The Final Curtain, is on Saturday, 7 October, at Accor Stadium in Sydney. The two local acts will join Californian act Weezer as the main support for the concert.
The Australian Final Curtain gig was surprise-announced in late May, following the band’s sold-out, highly successful End Of The Road Tour in Australia in August last year. You can read The Music's review of the band's Melbourne show here.
“You have made your voices loud enough that it was impossible for us not to hear you,” KISS vocalist Paul Stanley said in a statement. “We are overwhelmed by your petitions and calls for one last KISS [show], so we are now announcing that The End Of The Road will detour one last time to Sydney for a final bombastic farewell.
“As unexpected as this is for us, we will make it unforgettable for all who share the night with us.”
TEG Group CEO, Geoff Jones, added, “TEG is incredibly excited to be able to bring this iconic and legendary band back to Australia for one last time.

“As the only country to receive an additional last-ever show, it speaks to the power of the band’s passionate Australian fanbase and TEG’s commitment to delivering the shows that fans demand. This final exclusive stadium show at Accor Stadium is sure to be a monumental goodbye for KISS fans from across Australia.”
Regurgitator, fresh off their sold-out UNITS tour, have been extending the vitality of their live performances. They continue to infuse them with exuberance, mania and their blend of rock, punk, electro, funk, pop, and hip-hop. A press release teases a “New album [is] brewing in the can.”
The Delta Riggs have become a staple touring act in Australia, having opened for Foo Fighters and Kasabian already. 2023 is poised to be a massive year for the band, with a new album on the way and new single, Solutions out now.
The Delta Riggs feature gang vocals, piano, and fuzzy guitars for their latest rock and roll banger. To get the exact sound they wanted, they co-produced the track alongside Alex Markwell (Teen Jesus & The Jean Teasers) and Oscar Dawson (Holy Holy, Alex Lahey) on mixing duties. Check it out below.
