Radiohead bassist Colin Greenwood was spotted in the Canberra record store, Songland last week, owner Brian “Frog” Harris shared on Facebook.
“So… what does the guy in the pic and the guy in the glasses in the Radiohead poster have in common?” Harris wrote in the caption to a photo of himself alongside Greenwood.
Harris added, “Welcome to Songland Colin, luverly to meet you…” In the poster behind them was Radiohead during their OK Computer era. You can check out Harris’ post below.
Colin Greenwood is in Australia touring with Nick Cave on the singer’s solo dates. The tour finishes at the Great Hall of the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre tonight (13 May).
The tour comprised 13 dates, with the duo playing three dates at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre, five at Sydney’s State Theatre (and one date at ICC Sydney), and dates in Wollongong, Canberra, and the Gold Coast before tonight’s final show of the tour.
In a press statement, Cave expressed his excitement about the solo tour: “I cannot wait to bring this special show to Australia, accompanied by the great Colin Greenwood. It is a privilege to share the songs with an audience in this way—stripped back and unadorned, revealing their essential nature.”

While Greenwood is currently touring with Cave, it isn’t the first time he’s joined the Aussie star on stage. In 2022, the Radiohead bassist accompanied Nick Cave on his Australian tour with Bad Seeds collaborator Warren Ellis. Greenwood is also set to appear on the upcoming Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds album, Wild God, due for release on Friday, 30 August.

Last year, Colin’s brother and Radiohead’s lead guitarist and keyboardist, Jonny, stepped into the olive oil business, launching his very own brand, Greenwood Oil.
The musician has been living on a farm in the Le Marche region of Italy for years. In that time, he’s harvested and pressed olives with friends and family to create his own artisan olive oil.
Jonny Greenwood tweeted, “I’m really proud of the final product, for all that this is what rockstarsofacertainage* (It’s Sting we’re all thinking of) seem to drift into doing.”
He continued, “It’s an addictive thing through, harvesting and pressing this glorious fruit, and spending more and more time with Italian friends in this beautiful country.”
In 2021, Radiohead celebrated the 20th and 21st anniversaries of their critically acclaimed albums, Kid A and Amnesiac.
