Queens Of The Stone Age Announce 'The End Is Nero' 2024 Australian Tour

It’s official: after teasing a forthcoming Australian tour last week, US desert rockers Queens Of The Stone Age have announced their The End Is Nero 2024 Australian tour.

The band’s first tour down under since 2018 is expansive, visiting the Red Hill Auditorium in Perth on 10 February, ahead of shows in Adelaide, Hobart, Torquay, Melbourne, Sydney, Gold Coast and Brisbane.

Two shows - Torquay and the Gold Coast - will find Queens Of The Stone Age headlining Lookout Festival. Pre-sale and general sale information is the same as the band’s solo headlining dates. Check out all the dates and venues below.

The End Is Nero tour arrives in support of Queens Of The Stone Age’s recently released new album, In Times New Roman… - an album that tracked the end of the world.

The band’s leader, vocalist Josh Homme, and bandmates Troy Van Leeuwen, Dean Fertita, Michael Shuman and Jon Theodore came together to create “the sound of a band creating the music its own members want to hear while giving the rest of us a sonic forum in which to congregate”.

The new album was preceded by the single Emotion Sickness, a rollicking rock and roll number that hints at the “raw, at times brutal and not recommended for the faint of heart” music on the new LP. Even decades into their career, Queens Of The Stone Age haven’t lost their edge.

Fans have numerous options to purchase tickets to the End Is Nero tour, beginning with the Queens Of The Stone Age fan club pre-sale, which opens tomorrow (25 October) at 11 am local time. Also on sale tomorrow is the Live Nation Members pre-sale for the Hobart show, starting at 11 am local time.

Punters attending the remainder of the tour dates can access the Live Nation Members pre-sale at noon local time on Friday, 27 October. The general sale begins on Monday, 30 October, at 1 pm local time via the Live Nation website.

If you thought this tour couldn’t get any more exciting, think again, as Queens Of The Stone Age have lined up some of the best and brightest local support acts, including Pond, Gut Health, The Chats, Spiderbait, and Lola Scott.
