The Canadian prog-metal heroes will play five shows in the country this April
Celebrated Canadian prog-metal outfit Protest The Hero will make their return to Australia in 2017 touting their recently released fifth studio full-length, Pacific Myth.
Stopping via the Kings Arms, in Auckland, on their way to Oz, Protest The Hero will kick off their impending sojourn at The Corner Hotel, in Melbourne, this April. They'll be joined by local veterans Closure In Moscow for the first three shows of their Australian tour, which also takes in shows in Sydney and Newcastle, before the roadshow heads up to Brisbane and over to Perth.
Protest The Hero completed their maiden headline tour of the country back in 2014, at which point 2013 LP Volition was their most recent release. In the intervening years, the band have continued to rack up accolades for their live performances and recordings, earning the 2014 Juno Award for Metal/Hard Music Album Of The Year for Volition and knocking over an enthusiastically received 10th-anniversary tour for their debut album, Kezia, back in 2015. Pacific Myth was released in November last year.
Protest The Hero will touch down in Australia freshly warmed up from their current extensive tour of North America supporting August Burns Red with local outfit In Hearts Wake and Atlanta-based duo '68.
