Part one of a three-way band-on-band-on-band extravaganza
Jericco, Sydonia and Kiwi mates Villainy should need no introduction to discerning fans of quality local heavy music. Indeed, all three acts have spent considerable time and effort garnering a hell of a reputation for energetic, brutal live performances and polished, technically proficient tunes.
Just in case you're not yet well acquainted though, The Music has called upon the three acts — who are about to embark upon a four-date, two-weekend, three-way headline tour, which kicks off in Brisbane tomorrow and rolls through Melbourne, Sydney and Adelaide over the next couple of weeks — to engage in a bit of hot band-on-band-on-band action in order to see how much the tour-mates know about each other and what they're expecting ahead of their sojourn.
With each band having a new full-length released at some stage in the past 18 months (Villainy as recently as last month), they're primed and ready to hit the road — but, first, we need to talk about the real issues. To that end, in part one of our Q&A series, Sydonia quizzes Jericco on everything from ideal band porn names and Star Wars to essential songs for their tour set-list.
It's enlightening and just a bit frightening — read their chat below.

Slowly but steady. We still have plenty to push with the current material so it is not a focus at the moment.
Dance Like No One's Watching... because even if you hate our band you will love that song.
I am assuming this is a Star Wars-based question and having not seen either I like to think that The Force Awakens is a sequel to a police show of criminals getting out of jail and fighting back, and I assume Clone Wars is about people with confidence issues who tend to break a lot of mirrors? So The Force Awakens!
I watched another band pull the power to the stage during another band's set...
Jizzy Co-Co.
Let It Be (Dubstep Remix).
Alanis Morrissette.
Programming drums as opposed to recording real drums... unfortunately having to follow the crowd due to budget!
One of us will come in with foundations of a song, we learn it, we workshop, we fight for hours, we get stoked and we record it. Generally the theme and intentions of the song is obvious in the early stages so its great to get everyones interpretations and develop into something we transfer to the stage.
Anthony... #insidejoke.. all of us will be back-up dancers for sure!
Jericco, Sydonia & Villainy's joint tour of Australia kicks off in Brisbane tomorrow, 13 November. For more dates, venues and other booking information, see theGuide or check The Music App.
