Pierce Brothers Announce String Of Free Pop-up Shows Across East Coast

While the Pacific Highway will be lined this week with the glimmer of metallic SUVs and rising heat from the long weekend, the boys from Pierce Brothers will also be following the trail down the coast after playing Bluesfest over Saturday and Sunday night, and don’t plan to stop their performances there. 

Making their way back home to Victoria to play a show at Theatre Royal at Castlemaine, the boys have announced a series of pop-up busking-style shows at several locations.

The busking pop-ups began on Monday with a 6 pm set at the iconic Big Banana, while they will also be playing a show tonight somewhere between Coffs and Sydney; the details are still to be announced.

The last two pop-up shows of the series include a stint at Pitt Street Mall in Sydney on Wednesday (April 3rd), with the time to still be announced, as well as a 2 pm set at Bourke Street Mall in Melbourne on Thursday (April 4th). Bourke Street, in particular, has a heavy significance for the trio, as it marks the place they started out performing.

While Pierce Brothers announced the pop-up shows as simply wanting to keep the party going while they make their way home from Bluesfest, the sets fall between the second and third leg of the new album tour, as the boys celebrate their third release, Everything Is Bigger Than Me. 

So far, the album has received positive reviews, with Forte Magazine stating:
