Paris Olympics Closing Ceremony To Feature Billie Eilish, Red Hot Chili Peppers & Snoop Dogg

Unfortunately, the Paris Olympic Games will end this weekend, but they won’t be ending without a bang.

As per tradition, the 2024 Olympics' Closing Ceremony will ceremoniously hand off to Los Angeles, the next recipient of the Games.

Due to the Olympics heading to the US in four years, Variety reports that the musical performances have gone across the Atlantic, with live and pre-recorded performances from Billie Eilish, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Snoop Dogg. As reported earlier this week, French acts Phoenix and Air are also on board to perform.

Ben Winston, the Grammy Awards producer, will collaborate with French producers to produce the Closing Ceremony entertainment.

In addition to the musical acts, Tom Cruise will reportedly show off a gravity-defying, endangering stunt. The Mission Impossible actor is set to jump on his motorcycle for death-defying tricks in France before the Closing Ceremony goes to a pre-recorded package that finds him parachuting down to the Hollywood sign.

The Mayor of Los Angeles, Karen Bass, will accept the Olympic Flame for the next Games. The Closing Ceremony takes place this Sunday, 11 August.

French metal outfit Gojira made headlines two weekends ago when they performed at the Paris Olympics Opening Ceremony. Becoming the first metal band to ever perform at the Olympics, they shared performance time with Lady Gaga and Celine Dion, the latter of whom made an epic comeback on stage.

Also at the Opening Ceremony, Snoop Dogg carried the Olympic Flame, walking through the northern Paris suburb of Saint-Denis, home to the Stade de France Olympic Stadium.

Back in April, tour promoters Frontier Touring announced that Billie Eilish will return to Australia in February and March 2025. Touring in support of her latest album, Hit Me Hard And Soft, Eilish will play four shows per city in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.
