Paramore, Lorde, Miley Cyrus, The National Lead Talking Heads Tribute Album
The first single released from 'Everyone’s Getting Involved: A Tribute To Talking Heads’ Stop Making Sense' is Paramore’s take on 'Burning Down The House'.

After sharing a teaser for Paramore’s inclusion on an upcoming tribute album for Talking Heads earlier this month, A24 Music has officially announced Everyone’s Getting Involved: A Tribute To Talking Heads’ Stop Making Sense.
Not just any tribute album, Everyone’s Getting Involved commemorates the 2023 re-release of Jonathan Demme’s iconic concert film, Stop Making Sense, and the 40th anniversary of its accompanying soundtrack album.
Today’s announcement arrives with a massive artist roster, including (in alphabetical order) BADBADNOTGOOD, Blondshell, The Cavemen, Chicano Batman, DJ Tunez, El Mató a un Policía Motorizado, girl in red, Jean Dawson, Kevin Abstract, The Linda Lindas, Lorde, Miley Cyrus, Paramore, The National, Teezo Touchdown and Toro y Moi.
The first single released from the collection is Paramore’s take on Burning Down The House, a powerful cover honouring the original while singer Hayley Williams stretches her vocals to raspy new registers – think Fiona Apple or Björk.
Bandmates Taylor York (guitar) and Zac Farro (drums) provide a modern groove to a timeless classic. You can listen to Paramore’s cover of Burning Down The House below.
Paramore’s most recent albums, last year’s This Is Why and 2017’s After Laughter, are heavily influenced by Talking Heads, with a post-punk and new-wave inspiration clear in the band’s slick, colourful present-day sound.

Last September, Talking Heads – David Byrne, Tina Weymouth, Chris Frantz and Jerry Harrison – reunited for the first time in over 20 years for a Q&A discussion to promote A24’s upscaled premiere of Stop Making Sense at the Toronto International Film Festival.
Since Talking Heads’ disbandment in 1991, the only other time the four members of the group shared the stage was in 2002, upon their induction into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame, where they performed unforgettable versions of Psycho Killer, Burning Down The House and Life During Wartime.
A24 recently announced that its remaster of Stop Making Sense will return to cinemas soon, with the live album arriving in Blu-Ray and 4K formats available for pre-order for a 1 May release.
