Olivia Rodrigo fell into an on-stage trap door at Rod Laver Arena during her Melbourne concert on Sunday (13 October) but recovered like a pro and assured fans that she was okay.
“Oh my God, that was fun! I’m okay,” Rodrigo said, pulling herself out of the trap door and returning to the stage. “Sometimes there’s just a hole in the stage,” she continued, receiving chuckles from the audience. “That’s alright! Okay, where was I? How are you doing tonight, Melbourne?”
The good 4 u singer instantly recovered from the tumble and poked fun at herself by posting a video of the fall to her TikTok.
Captioning the video “#subtleforeshadowing” as QKThr by Aphex Twin played in the background, she added in the comments: “I am ok hahaha❤️”. You can watch the moment below.
Rodrigo played her third show in Melbourne on Sunday, wrapping up the run at Rod Laver Arena with her fourth show last night (14 October). From there, she’ll play four more shows in Australia, this time at Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena.

Olivia Rodrigo is touring Australia for the first time in support of her second album, GUTS. In a review of her first Melbourne show, The Music’s Christopher Lewis described the concert as an “emotionally turbulent dance party.” Later in the review, Lewis declared that Rodrigo was potentially “the complete package.”
For her Australian tour, Rodrigo has been joined by special guest BENEE. At the end of the Australian tour, fans can re-live or experience the GUTS tour for the first time when the show hits Netflix on Tuesday, 29 October.
