The Asian leg of pop superstar Olivia Rodrigo’s GUTS World Tour was announced on social media this morning, with Sydney and Melbourne on the itinerary.
The Vampire hitmaker will be hitting Australia in October this year with two shows each in Sydney and Melbourne at Qudos Bank Arena and Rod Laver Arena, respectively.
As a star of Rodrigo’s size, the strangely spaced dates suggest that there are perhaps further shows still to announce, with Melbourne on the 9th and 10th and then Sydney on the 17th and 18th.
Or perhaps she REALLY wants to have lots of spare time to hug a koala, given it will be her first trip to Australia.
Benee will be supporting on all dates, but no promoter or onsale details have been revealed at the time of writing.

Olivia Rodrigo was due to visit Sydney last year for a promotional trip around GUTS but cancelled due to “unforeseen circumstances”.
Before its cancellation, Olivia expressed her excitement about her press trip to Sydney, saying, "I can't wait to get down to Australia. I've never been, and I'm so excited to meet everyone. I'll see you soon, Livies!"
However, a spokesperson from Universal Music Australia announced that the visit would no longer go ahead while hinting at a future visit, saying, "Olivia is devastated that she won't be able to make it. However, she's so excited to see her Australian Livies (fans) in 2024.”
When kicking off the GUTS World Tour in the US, Rodrigo also announced the Fund 4 Good. Rodrigo explained that the program supports “community-based nonprofits that champion things like girls’ education, support reproductive rights, and prevent gender-based violence”.
Rodrigo also announced that a portion of all ticket sales from her GUTS World Tour will be donated to Fund 4 Good, while her North American tour dates also found her partnering with local National Network of Abortion Funds charters.
