The veteran outfit will play four shows Down Under early next year
Stalwart Britpop outfit Ocean Colour Scene have announced that they will make their maiden journey to Australia to perform a four-date run of shows in the country, their first ever in their more-than 25-year-long career.
The respected veterans will kick off their antipodean sojourn in Melbourne, at Max Watt's House Of Music, on Tuesday 23 February, heading up to Brisbane's venue of the same name the following evening, 24 February. Ocean Colour Scene then head to The Factory, in Sydney, on Thursday 25 February, and round out their visit at the Capitol Theatre, in Perth, on Saturday 27 February.
Notably, this tour — being the band's first — actually takes its name from their lauded 1996 second album, Moseley Shoals, though Ocean Colour Scene have since released a further eight studio full-lengths, the most recent being 2013's well-regarded Painting. However, Moseley Shoals is the bread and butter of the tour, with the band primed to bust out the LP live and in full, start to finish, at each of their impending shows, along with a selection of hand-picked hits from across their oeuvre.
Tickets for Ocean Colour Scene's 2016 maiden Aussie tour are available now via Oztix (except Sydney; see Ticketek or the venue's website for your tickets).
