Upon sharing the official tour announcement after some teasing, the band made a cheeky reference to Down Under by Men At Work, telling Aussie fans:
People of the land down under.
‘You better run – you better take cover…’
We are coming.
You are most welcome.
Tickets to the Oasis Live ’25 Australian tour are anticipated to be fixed price to avoid the dynamic pricing backlash the band faced in the UK. The band released the following statement regarding the controversy:
“While prior meetings between promoters, Ticketmaster and the band's management resulted in a positive ticket sale strategy, which would be a fair experience for fans, including dynamic ticketing to help keep general ticket prices down as well as reduce touting, the execution of the plan failed to meet expectations.
“All parties involved did their utmost to deliver the best possible fan experience, but due to the unprecedented demand, this became impossible to achieve.”
In the US, general admission prices started at $85, approximately $126 in Australia. Fan packages went up to $600, or a whopping $890 AUD. We suspect ticket prices will be between $100 and $500, depending on packages and fees.
In addition to announcing more tour dates this morning, Oasis recently shared their plans to release a limited edition Definitely Maybe vinyl singles collection to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Cigarettes & Alcohol.
The box set will be released next Friday (18 October), while the track celebrated its 30th anniversary yesterday (10 October). You can pre-order your copy here.
