For fourth year running.
They may have disbanded over 20 years ago, but seminal hip hop group NWA have had a massive 2015 and it is being capped off with a nomination into the 2016 Rock'N'Roll Hall Of Fame.
Thanks to the phenomenal success of the recently released biopic Straight Outta Compton, the iconic rap outfit have picked up their fourth nomination for the prestigious hall of fame in as many years, though most are tipping that 2016 will be their year given how well received the film has been.
Not only did it reach #1 at the US box office for two straight weeks, as well as topping the Australian box office upon its national release, but it broke a number of film records including the highest grossing musical biopic of all time and the fifth highest grossing film to be released in August of all time.
It was expected to open to a weekend total of around $25 million, though it blew expectations and earned over $60 million in its first three days. To date, Straight Outta Compton has made over $196 million.
