Returning to Australian later this year.
German composer and pianist Nils Frahm will be returning to Australia for a run of shows later this year.
Frahm will be kicking off the tour at Hobart’s Odeon Theatre on 28 November and will then head to Arts Centre Melbourne for two shows. He'll then wrap up with a show at the Sydney Opera House in early December.
“It’s increasingly clear to me that Nils Frahm is one of the greats of his age and an artist who, just when we think he’s at his peak, outdoes himself either on stage or on record (or both), leaving us all in a suspended state of awe at what might come next," said Sydney Opera House's Head of Contemporary Music, Ben Marshall.
"His appearances at the Sydney Opera House have cemented him as a live tour de force of sublimely balanced dynamic tensions that cannot be experienced too often. I find the oceanic sound of his singular combination of piano and electronics tremendously moving and cannot wait to be in the room with everyone else for another evening of genuinely rapturous music with Nils Frahm."
Tickets for the shows go on sale from 9am on 16 August, head to theGuide for all the info and read our 2018 interview with Frahm here.
