New Zealand's LEISURE Ink Bookings Deal With Falcona & Announce East Coast Tour

New Zealand electro-funk collective LEISURE have revealed they have inked a bookings deal with Sydney-based agency Falcona exclusively to theMusic.com.au.

The news comes as the outfit also announce a two-date run of Australian shows at Melbourne's Northcote Social Club and Sydney's The Lansdowne this March to celebrate the release of new single Easy Way Out. 

“I’ve been a fan of LEISURE for such a long time, and it’s with great excitement that we can finally announce that Falcona Agency will be working with the collective for their live bookings kicking off with the Easy Way Out tour this March," booking agent Joel Siviour said of the signing. 

"With an incredible sophomore album on the way, the timing just feels right for everyone to get a bit more LEISURE in their life!”

Taken off their forthcoming second album, the track marks a new era for the band. “Easy Way Out is something new for us, there’s a tension and slightly darker feel in it which reflects lyrically in the verses," the band revealed of the song's new direction. 

“It’s been something like 700 days since we released our debut album - admittedly we had no idea what we were making, or how we were doing it, the only certainty was that the combination of the creative energies when we were all in a room was a feeling none of us had felt before.

"Over the past year or so we’ve been capturing new moments from new places for the next collection of LEISURE songs…”
