New episodes of Bluey are arriving with some big stars, including Spicks And Specks’ Adam Hills, Carrie Brickmore, and professional surfer Mick Fanning.
That's not all: exciting musical guests include two music legends: Neil Finn of Crowded House fame, and Kate Miller-Heidke.
Bluey has made another change, with the popular children’s series moving to Sunday mornings and nights. The show will be playing from 9 April to 7 June at 8 am or 6:20 pm on ABC Kids and ABC iView. As the Daily Mail reports, nine episodes will play weekly.
Last week, Lin Manuel-Miranda visited the Bluey studios in Brisbane following his season three appearance.
In a recent interview with The Guardian Australia, Miranda addressed his Bluey cameo, calling it “really special, really kismet, that the show that got us through the pandemic and, really, the only show everyone in our family can agree on … is made here in Brisbane.”
He then commented, “I played Bluey’s first horse. Two lines, and I’ll never top it.” And when The Guardian’s Joe Hinchliffe asked if the entertainment superstar “went method,” Miranda answered that he was “in the field for days; I learned to gallop.”
Miranda played a friendly horse named Major Tom in season three, episode 28 of Bluey.
A few months ago, Bluey announced its new soundtrack album, Bluey: Dance Mode, which will be released on Friday, 21 April.
The new Bluey album features 17 new original tracks composed by Joff Bush. The songs span all three seasons of Bluey but with brand-new recordings.
Bush said about the upcoming release, "Bluey is an incredible world created from Joe Brumm’s stories, and to help bring the musical part of that to life has always been thrilling. Each one of these tunes was written and produced from the heart. The secret sauce, though, is really the wonderful musicians, co-writers and collaborators I got to work with."
He continued, "Writing for kids and families really frees you from the shackles of trying to be cool or fashionable and just make music that connects. That’s what I feel we are doing here."
Bluey: Dance Mode is available to pre-order on CD or orange vinyl. You can also pre-save via your favourite streaming services. Pre-order/pre-save here.
