More Changes For Splendour Line-up Just Days Out

English producer Tom Misch and Spanish indie group Hinds have withdrawn from the Splendour In The Grass line-up. The two acts are the latest in a run of line-up changes for the festival, which is scheduled to begin on Friday.

News of the two acts' withdrawal was shared by Splendour In The Grass on Instagram. 

The post also revealed that replacements had been found in the form of Sydney electro duo Cosmo's Midnight and Fremantle songwriter Noah Dillion. Both acts will perform on Saturday, with Cosmo's Midnight playing the Mix Up Stage and Dillon added to the lineup for the GW McLennan tent. 

Cosmo's Midnight shared their delight at being added to the event on their own Instagram explaining they're being rushed from Portugal to the venue to fill the gap left by Tom Misch. 

"We’re getting emergency flown in hot from Portugal to Sydney to replace Tom Misch for @splendourinthegrass . We’re sorry he couldn’t make it but we’ll bring the disco on his behalf 💕see you Saturday at the mix up stage @ 8:30pm"

These changes to the Splendour In The Grass line-up come after the festival had to source a new headliner for the event after the Yeah Yeah Yeahs announced they were no longer able to perform due to health issues. 

The band shared a statement at the time saying  “We are so sorry to announce that due to health issues we will be cancelling our upcoming shows in Melbourne, Sydney and Splendour In The Grass,” “The disappointment weighs heavily on us, we apologize for such disappointing news. We’ve been waiting a long time to see you again and we hope to return soon to fulfil our commitments in good health and spirits for you. Much love, YYYs.”

Organisers previously announced that Surfaces, Mako Road and Adrian Eagle were no longer able to make it to the festival, adding Pond and recent The Music cover artist Tasman Keith in their place.

Stepping up and filling the space of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs atop the Splendour In The Grass bill are The Avalanches, who will bring their full live show to the Amphitheatre on Friday. 

The Avalanches join Gorillaz, The Strokes, Tyler, The Creator and stacks more at North Byron Parklands with Splendour In The Grass running from July 22-24.
