Get ready for the 2025 Labour Day weekend, Victorian punters: the first artist announcement drop for next year’s Port Fairy Folk Festival is here.
Led by Aussie stars including Missy Higgins, Kutcha Edwards, Little Quirks, Chikchika, Hana & Jessie-Lee’s Bad Habits, Lian Husi Timor and Mick Thomas’ Roving Commission, next year’s event has also gone international.
Representing Scotland are Port Fairy Folk Festival favourites Skerryvore and Dean Owens & The Sinners – the latter making their festival debut – while Síomha and Niamh Bury will represent Ireland, both playing at the event for the first time.
The 48th edition of the Port Fairy Folk Festival has also locked in American acts The Brother Brothers, Hannah Aldridge, and Throwing Muses’ Kristin Hersh. From Canada, The East Pointers will return once again, and Katie Spencer and John Smith will make the trek from the UK.
Next year’s Port Fairy Folk Festival will occur from Friday, 7 to Monday, 10 March (Labour Day weekend). Early bird tickets are available now – you can find more ticketing information on the festival website.
In a statement, Port Fairy Folk Festival Program Director Justin Ridge said, “Our audience is the inspiration behind this first artist line-up for 2025.
