Mew Announce Local Supports For Their First Aussie Tour

It's nearly time for Danish alt rock gods Mew to descend upon Australia on their very first Australian tour, but of course before they do so, they've enlisted the help of local bands in each city.

Sydney instrumental post-rock band Solkyri will be the band's primary support for all three east coast shows, having had a practice run when they opened for ...And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead earlier this year on their 20th anniversary shows.

Joining Mew and Solkyri in Melbourne and Sydney will be indie-pop duo Halcyon Drive, hot off a showcase at BIGSOUND 2015 and last year's debut EP release. Recently, they've also released another single, Reset.

Finally Brissy band Aerials will warm up the Max Watt's Brisbane stage with their newest release, Restless, in tow. The rock trio released the video clip for their lead single back in September, too.
