The contestants for this year’s The Amazing Race Australia: Celebrity Edition have been announced, with musicians accompanying sporting, comedy, and acting icons.
Joining the likes of AFL legend Billy Brownless and his son, Oscar Brownless, Ian Thorpe with his childhood best mate, Christian Miranda, Matildas Chloe Logarzo and Emily Gielnik, TV mainstay Peter Helliar and his wife, Bridget, and comedian Luke McGregor with his mum, Julie, are some music-related pairings ready to take on an (amazing) adventure.
Country music husband-and-wife duo Brooke McClymont and Adam Eckersley join the fun, as do Natalie Bassingthwaite (of Rogue Traders and The X Factor Australia fame) with sister Melinda Sheldrick, and DJ Havana Brown with best friend Stephanie Wood.
Brooke McClymont and Adam Eckersley released their debut album, Adam And Brooke, in 2018. It topped the ARIA Country Albums Chart and received Golden Guitar and ARIA award nominations.
Last year, they released their second album, Up, Down & Sideways, after McClymont came runner-up on Channel 10’s I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here! In 2022, McClymont also appeared on the popular series Spicks & Specks, and the pair performed on Channel 10’s The Living Room. The duo are touring in support of their latest album throughout 2024 – find more details about the tour here.
Natalie Bassingthwaite joined Rogue Traders as frontwoman while she was starring on Neighbours. The band successfully avoided any soap star-to-pop star backlash when they released their first single, 2005’s Voodoo Child.

She told The Music after Rogue Traders released their first song in over a decade, To The Disco: “Without sounding too hippy, even universally, there's been a really big shift and a rebirth of people coming out of COVID and wanting to create again and be heard and seen and speak their truth out loud and own that dance floor.”
Meanwhile, Havana Brown has toured alongside the likes of Britney Spears and Rihanna and racked up multiple US #1 singles, including 2014’s Warrior. As well as her music career—which saw her independently release her first song in four years, Forever Young, last year—Brown came sixth on the 2016 season of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!
