A big coup for Sydney fans
Melbourne's beloved Cherry Rock Festival has announced it will be coming to Sydney for the first time in its eight year history, with legendary alt rock band Meat Puppets set to headline the event.
The band, who are also headlining the Melb event, will be joined by Redcoats, Gay Paris, Beastwars, Drunk Mums, Chris Russell's Chicken Walk, King Of The North, Bitter Sweet Kicks, Child, The Harlots and Don Fernando for the Syd gig. A number of these bands are also on the Melb bill.
Cherry Rock Sydney will take place in and around the Factory Theatre, Marrickville on Saturday 31 May. Tickets are available now.
Owner and booker of Cherry, James Young admitted "only an imbecile would choose this time to expand and take a 100% rock n festival dominated by the absolute very best Melbourne rock acts into another state."
