Earlier this week, the team behind A Day On The Green announced Live At The Gardens, a new concert series heading to the idyllic Royal Botanic Gardens in Melbourne (Naarm) this November – now, they’ve announced that Matt Corby will headline the first show on the program.
The one-of-a-kind performance is scheduled for Saturday November 16, with tickets going on sale at 10am next Tuesday (June 11) – following a pre-sale that kicks off at the same time this Friday (June 7) – available here.
Flanked by a full live band, Corby will showcase highlights from all three of his beloved studio albums (the most recent being Everything’s Fine, which arrived last March) as well as his recent standalone singles Desert Land (which hit streaming last October) and Same Page (a joint effort with Jillian Joux that dropped just last month).
Opening the show will be none other than Middle Kids, riding hot on the heels of their own recent third album, Faith Crisis Pt 1, which arrived back in February of this year.
In announcing Live At The Gardens on Monday (June 3), Chris Russell – chief executive and acting director of the Royal Botanic Gardens – said of the exciting new concert series: “This exciting collaboration seamlessly blends the stunning natural beauty of Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne with world-class entertainment to create an unforgettable concert experience that celebrates music, nature, and the vibrant culture of Melbourne.
