Macklemore, Bag Raiders, Northlane & More Heading To Darwin For BASSINTHEGRASS 2024

BASSINTHEGRASS music festival will return to Mindil Beach, Darwin, on Saturday, 18 May, with a line-up that sports stars of hip-hop, rock, metal, pop, EDM and just about any other popular genre you can think of.

Next year’s event is headlined by the one and only Macklemore. Fresh off announcing his upcoming Australian tour, the American rapper has already announced a second show in Sydney for his tour.

In Darwin, he’ll be joined by Bag Raiders, Aussie heavy favourites Northlane, ARIA Hall of Fame inductees Jet, Bliss n Eso, Middle Kids, VASSY and many more. You can check out the entire line-up below.

A press release from BASSINTHEGRASS organisers notes that most artists on next year’s line-up have never performed at the festival before, making it all the more exciting on stage and for the punters.

General admission tickets and premium packages are available now, with the former being sold for $129 and prices for the latter varying. Once the general admission tickets have sold out, final release tickets will go on sale for $149. You can buy your tickets here.

“The Territory’s favourite music festival has come a long way in 21 years and is well and truly a must-do on the national festival calendar. It’s also one of the most affordable festivals in Australia,” Northern Territory Major Events Company (NTMEC) CEO Suzana Bishop said in a statement.

“BASSINTHEGRASS is attracting international artists as well as the best from Australia, delighting music fans who want to see quality artists at a stunning beach-side location. The whole city comes alive in the lead-up to the festival, and next year’s event takes place right after Darwin’s two AFL games. Even more reasons to head to the Top End.”

Darwin-born VASSY, who recently scored the support slot for Aqua on their US tour, feels that the experience of performing at a local festival is a special one.

She said, “As a local girl originally from Darwin born and raised, now based in Los Angeles. It gives me so much joy to come back home to perform for my hometown and to support my local community by showcasing local talent in my show line-up.”
