The mid-week figures are in.
Lorde is looking likely to take out her third straight #1 album with Solar Power.
According to mid-week figures, the NZ artist is expected to have this week's highest charting album on debut on this week's ARIA Albums Chart, following on from the mammoth success of her 2013 debut Pure Heroine and 2017 follow-up Melodrama.
"The album is a celebration of the natural world, an attempt at immortalising the deep, transcendent feelings I have when I’m outdoors," said Lorde of Solar Power.
"In times of heartache, grief, deep love, or confusion, I look to the natural world for answers. I’ve learned to breathe out, and tune in. This is what came through."
A number of local acts are likely to land on the chart including Tropical Fuck Storm's Deep States (expected Top 5), Holy Holy's Hello My Beautiful World (expected Top 10), Slim Dusty's Gone Fishin' (expected Top 15), Angus & Julia Stone's Life Is Strange (expected Top 15) and Shane Nicholson's Living In Colour (Top 50).
