22 dates through Australia and New Zealand to be announced soon.
British-bred songwriter Lloyd Cole has announced his intention to be back in Australia midyear in a recent Facebook post, leaking there will be 22 tour dates through Australia and New Zealand through June and July.
“First New Zealand show is June 5th, last Australian show is July 12...” he writes. “22 dates in total plus some visiting fellow duties in Adelaide. Not much time for golf...”
The former frontman on Lloyd Cole & The Commotions and now solo artist in his own right has had something of a resurgence in recent years, most recently releasing his tenth solo album Standards which has performed quite nicely in his UK homeland.
The record features Cole playing with a full band – including power pop maestro Matthew Sweet, former Commotions member Blair Cowan and Joan As Policewoman's Joan Wasser – something of a rare occurrence when taking his past two decades of making music into account, and has been very well received by critics around the world.
