And he's alluding to a reunion too...
Liam Gallagher fans might be in for a tough time if the singer's Twitter posts are anything to go by.
The UK artist has taken to the social media platform to tease that he intends "to retire as a solo artist after album no3".
"After album no3 I’m gonna split up with myself I just don’t think I’ll be able to work with myself any longer I can write what I like and so can he but I think it’s for the best," reads one of the posts.
It may not be all despair though, with the former Oasis frontman alluding that he and brother Noel Gallagher may set aside their long-running feud to reform the legendary group. Is that exciting? Yes. Do we believe it? Kind of. Are we hopeful? No, probably not.
Gallagher has released two solo albums since splitting with the group - 2017's As You Were and 2019's Why Me? Why Not - and also fronted Beady Eye from 2009-2014.
He was in the country in December last year, touring in support of his latest album. Read the review for his Melbourne show here and then head over here to read check out this epic story about how Noel Gallagher and U2's The Edge stopped the cops from showing up at Confidence Man's house.
