International Band Pull Out Of Download Festival Due To "Coronavirus Outbreak"

Italian band Lacuna Coil have been forced to pull out of the 2020 Download Festival events due to "a coronavirus outbreak" in their home country. 

In a statement posted online, the metal outfit confirmed the cancellation of a number of shows throughout South East Asia, as well as Sydney and Melbourne this month.

"Our home region of Lombardia, Italy, is in the midst of a Coronavirus outbreak. While cancelling is heartbreaking for us, everyone’s health and safety must come first and this includes our fans," the post reads.

"We’re confident this emergency will soon be contained and we can get back on the road to you."

Download Festival have announced they are "working on a replacement" for Lacuna Coil.
