She'll read bits from her memoir Don't Suck, Don't Die — Giving Up Vic Chesnutt
Founding member of '90s bands Throwing Muses and 50 Foot Wave, author and singer/songwriter, Kristin Hersh has announced an April Australian tour this morning, taking in shows in NSW, VIC and SA.
With nine solo records to her name, as well as albums with both bands, Hersh will be playing songs from across her catalogue, many of which were praised critically.
Hersh's latest memoir, Don't Suck, Don't Die — Giving Up Vic Chesnutt, about her good friend and musician Chesnutt who took his own life in 2009 will also be on show, with Hersh reading excerpts from the memoir interspersed between her songs.
Hersh's first memoir, Rat Girl, was praised by critics as one of the top ten rock memoirs ever written, about her life during the time she was in Throwing Muses.
