Killer Mike has tapped André 3000, Lil Wayne, Dave Chappelle, 6lack and more to feature on his forthcoming solo album, Michael.
During SXSW held in Austin, Texas, the Run The Jewels rapper, real name Michael Santiago Render, held a private listening session for the project inside a cathedral.
Among the guests was radio host and producer, DJ Kenny Perez, who told fans to “RUN and embrace it when it drops.”
“Yesterday I got the chance to sit and listen to @killermike new solo project ‘Michael’,” Perez said on Instagram.
“The project is a journey through his life and he doesn’t hold back,” Perez added about the record. “Collabs with Andre 3000, Lil Wayne, Dave Chapelle [sic] and more.”
During the show, Mike also expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to showcase his new project.

“My life truly is a testimony of what happens when you show up and keep believing something is calling you to do better for yourself. I don’t know what’s after this life, but I will treasure this night for the rest of my life.”
The Atlanta rapper also performed two tracks at the showcase, which are reportedly named Shed Tears and High + Holy, with the latter serving as a tribute to his wife who “encourages him to always search for a higher purpose (while also passing him back the joint).”
It comes following last year's release of two potential tracks for the forthcoming album, including RUN which featured Dave Chappelle and Young Thug, as well as TALK’N THAT SH*T.
Michael is set to be Killer Mike’s first solo album since 2012’s R.A.P Music, which featured artists like T.I., Big Boi and more.
