Catch the guitarist of the The Cramps, Gun Club and Bad Seeds
Kid Congo — legendary guitarist of the The Cramps, Gun Club and The Bad Seeds — is set to tour Australia this year with his longtime cohorts, The Pink Monkey Birds.
The greasy swamp-rockers will bring with them their fourth album, La Araña Es La Vida, out now through In The Red.
The band was last on our shores in 2015, selling out venues across the nation on their maiden voyage to the country. This year, they add Fremantle, Adelaide and Darwin to their run.
Kid Congo & The Pink Monkey Birds will play Darwin's Lighthouse Theatre (18 Aug); Fremantle's Mojo's (19 Aug); Adelaide's Crown & Anchor (20 Aug); Melbourne's Northcote Social Club (25 Aug) and NGV (26 Aug); Oakleigh's Caravan Music Club (27 Aug); Sydney's Oxford Art Factory (1 Sept); and Brisbane's Beetle Bar (2 Sept). Tickets are on sale now.
