Justin Bieber's 'Justice' Australian Tour Officially Cancelled

Frontier Touring has officially cancelled Justin Bieber’s doomed Australian and New Zealand Justice tour.

After postponements due to Covid-19 and Bieber’s diagnosis of Ramsay-Hunt Syndrome, a rare but severe disease caused by the same virus as Chicken Pox and shingles, most patients will recover. However, there are many cases of permanent paralysis and hearing loss. The condition is similar to Bell's Palsy but can be more severe.

Making the announcement this morning, Frontier Touring posted, “Frontier Touring regret to advise that Justin Bieber’s Justice Tour of Australia and New Zealand has been cancelled. All tickets purchased through the official ticketing outlets will receive a refund directly from the shows ticketing agency.”

Some ticketholders in the comment sections on social media ask why the cancellation is happening, why it took so long to announce the cancellation and expressing disappointment after holding on to tickets for 15 months.

Bieber’s Justice Australian and New Zealand tour was postponed for a second time in October last year. 

The Bieber tour was initially slated to begin in 2020 before being postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. 

The international megastar did manage to get the tour underway in February 2022, making stops in ten countries across three continents, before having three unplanned breaks, the first of which was caused by the worsening of his Ramsay Hunt disorder in June, the second break was taken to focus further on his health in September, and the third break was announced on September 15 due to continued health issues. 

With this in mind, the cancellation announcement isn’t totally unexpected.

In September 2022, Bieber reflected on his health issues, "Earlier this year, I went public about my battle with Ramsay-Hunt Syndrome, where my face was partially paralysed. 

"As the result of this illness, I was not able to complete the North American leg of the Justice Tour,” he continued. 

“After resting and consulting with my doctors, family and team, I went to Europe in an effort to continue with the tour. I performed six live shows, but it took a real toll on me. After getting off the stage, exhaustion overtook me, and I realised that I need to make my health the priority right now. 

“So I’m going to take a break from touring for the time being. I’m going to be ok, but I need time to rest and get better; I’ve been so proud to bring this show and our message of Justice to the world. Thank you for your prayers and support throughout all of this! I love you all passionately!”
