More Justice More Justice

French electronic music duo Justice are preparing for a comeback, and if their latest Instagram post is anything to go by, it’s shaping up to be epic.

Sharing a snippet of new music playing over a Waves VU meter, the audio levels of new Justice are reaching 100. With an industrial vibe layered atop a dance-ready tune, Justice remain just as fascinating and evocative as ever.

Check out the post – simply captioned “Happy New Year” – below.

New music from Justice will follow their 2016 album, Woman, which was accompanied by the singles Safe And Sound, Randy, Alakazam and Fire.

On the “underrated” reaction to Woman, Xavier de Rosnay told The Music’s Cyclone Wehner in an interview, “We know that every time we make a new record because it's always a bit different, there's a part of the audience that will feel a bit alienated.

“But, at the same time, that's how it goes. There's nothing we can do about it. We make albums that we feel are good and relevant, to a certain extent, but that's taking the risk that it will not resonate with some part of the people. But that's the game.”

On the future of Justice following tours and festival slots in support of the album, de Rosnay quipped that the pair were contemplating a new album. “We are always thinking about what's gonna be next because, as soon as you finish something, our minds are already onto the next thing," de Rosnay said. “We will probably start at the end of the year or early next year.”

Is the teaser – and potentially even more music – possibly an album five years in the making? We’ll have to wait and see.

EDM.com reports that in 2023, the founder of record label Ed Banger, Pedro Winter, confirmed that the duo were preparing to release a new album and tour this year.

“Now it’s official,” Winter said. “I can tell you now. There will be a new album and a new tour in 2024.”
