It's another top 10 for Josh Pyke!
This past weekend Josh Pyke scored himself another ARIA Chart top ten album with Rome.
Coming in at #8, this now gives Pyke his sixth top ten album, following on from his 2007 debut album Memories & Dust (#4), 2008's Chimney's Afire (#3), 2011's Only Sparrows (#4), 2013's The Beginning & The End Of Everything (#7) and 2015's But For All These Shrinking Hearts (#2).
What makes this significant though? This achievement secures Pyke a place alongside legendary Australian solo artists who have had six or more ARIA Albums Chart top 10 successes.
Currently, Jimmy Barnes leads the way with 16 solo studio albums in the ARIA Chart Top 10, with Kylie Minogue close behind with 13.
Other artists in this category include John Farnham (9), Guy Sebastian (8), Paul Kelly (6), Kasey Chambers (6), and Tina Arena (6).

Additionally, this also sees Pyke earn a place among solo artists that have had every one of their studio albums debut within the top ten, including Missy Higgins (5), Delta Goodrem (5), Bernard Fanning (4), Courtney Barnett (2) and Guy Sebastian (8).
“Rome started as an album for me. As a way to process things I don’t know how else to deal with," said Pyke of the album.
"It’s entered the world during a tough time for us all, but I don’t want that to define this record. To say that it’s been challenging releasing music during COVID is a big understatement.
"Not just because of the difficulties we’re all facing just being a day to day human being during this, not just because of the very real difficulties the music industry faces during this time, but also because as an artist, I’m in love with the art that I create, I think Rome is my best work, and I want it to flourish, to have a life of its own, and to reach as many people as possible.”
