And he's bringing along some friends for the ride
Venerated punk veteran Joey Cape is no stranger to Australian shores; in fact, he's such a fan that he's added a slew of headline shows around the country this December in the immediate wake of his previously scheduled shows with iconic outfit Lagwagon.
The standalone shows come a few months after the release of newest solo effort Stitch Puppy and, better still, he'll be bringing along a posse of good pals for the party, including frequent collaborator Chris Cresswell of The Flatliners, as well as Cape's Scorpios bandmate Brian Wahlstrom and Gold Coast-based chanteuse Laura Mardon.
The shows get under way on the west coast at The Boston, in Perth, on Tuesday 8 December, heading to Adelaide's Grace Emily on Wednesday 9 December. From there, Cape & co. will hit up stages in Melbourne (10 December), Brisbane (11 December), Newcastle (12 December) and Sydney, where they wrap up on Sunday 13 December.
Tickets for all performances go on sale from 9am this Monday 12 October, via Oztix (Perth/Brisbane/Newcastle), Ticketscout (Melbourne, Sydney) and Moshtix (Adelaide). See theGuide or check The Music App for more information.
