Winners unveiled May 25
Revered Aussie musicians Jimmy Barnes and Holly Throsby are in the running for accolades at the 2017 Australian Book Industry Awards.
Barnes’ Working Class Boy was toured extensively upon release in a unique format that featured tales of the Cold Chisel frontman’s childhood and performances of songs that influenced his life in one way or another; a winning combo that’s scored him a nomination for Biography Book of the Year.
Sydney songwriter Throsby’s book debut, Goodwood – which has taken her to writers' festival and more between After A Time LP dates - is up for Literary Fiction Book of the Year and New Writer of the Year.
Winners will be announced at the Art Gallery of NSW on May 25.
