The tour announcement comes just days after the release of his eighth studio album and his first project in five years.
Multi-platinum songwriter Jack Johnson will be making his return to Australia this November and December performing a series of shows across the country at open air venues.
The tour is in support of his latest studio album, Meet The Moonlight, and kicks off on the 29th of November at Perth's Kings Park and Botanic Garden before heading to the new HOTA Amphitheatre on the Gold Coast, Brisbane's Riverstage, the Forecourt of the Sydney Opera House and Melbourne's Sidney Myer Music Bowl.
The tour announcement comes just days after the release of his eighth studio album and his first project in five years. It was produced by Blake Mills and recorded in Los Angeles and Hawaii and featured singles One Step Ahead, Don't Look Now, and the albums centrepiece title track Meet The Moonlight.
Johnson's career so far spans over 25 million albums sold and a range of awards and accolades, including three Brit awards and two Grammy nominations. He'll be performing classic tracks including Better Together, Flake and Inaudible Melodies alongside his long-time band mates Merlo, Adam and Zach.
the Meet The Moonlight Tour will expand green touring practices and continue to promote sustainable local food systems and plastic free initiatives. He'll work close with venues in support of the BYOOBottle campaign to eliminate disposable plastic usage.
Joining him on tour will be Australia APRA Award winning songwriter Ziggy Alberts who has already sold out tours across the globe, alongside one of Australia's most inspiring Indigenous role models, the ARIA nominated artist Emily Wurramara.
