Two of Adelaide’s most thrilling emerging talents, J-MILLA and TONIX, have been announced to perform as part of the After Race Concert Series, set to exalt post-race crowds this November at the Adelaide 500 (a round of the Repco Supercars Championship) - Australia's largest domestic motor sport event.
SA Motor Sport Board and MusicSA are collaborating - a perfect example of the tried and true merging of sports and music - to exhibit two of South Australia’s most promising up-and-coming artists, to perform alongside some iconic headlining acts, such as Oceanic treasures Cold Chisel and Crowded House.
The After Race Concert Series is a vital part of MusicSA’s Good Music Month, a month-long celebration of South Australia's lush and colourful live music scene that takes place throughout November. This event is an important and exciting opportunity for these emerging artists to connect with wide, national audiences on an illustrious South Australian stage.

Darwin-born but Adelaide-raised, the Marranungu hip-hop artist prioritises gripping storytelling and cutting social commentary in his music. His tracks manage to be politically charged but extremely danceable, and he is sure to have audiences thrashing and chanting along to his songs on this exciting Saturday night.
TONIX will be supporting Cold Chisel, The Cruel Sea, and The Superjesus on Sunday, November 17.
The electronic/indie/pop outfit boast shows with infectious energy. Their unique blend of synthesiser, saxophone, keytar, drums, and frontman Sammi Keough’s athletic vocal chops promise to be the perfect sound for a high-energy crowd still buzzing from all of the supercar race excitement.
John Glenn, the chair of Music SA, says, “The VAILO Adelaide 500 and MusicSA have a long-standing partnership, providing an awesome opportunity for our most exciting local artists to be part of such a prestigious event.
“To have J-MILLA and TONIX perform on the same stage as Australian music icons like Cold Chisel and Crowded House not only showcases their incredible talent but also places Adelaide’s live music scene in the national spotlight.”
