Post Malone has announced the release of his highly anticipated sixth album, F-1 Trillion. After a quick two-month turnaround, the album will be released on Friday, 16 August.
Not many details are known about the album yet, as the rapper-turned-country singer announced the release via a surprise social media post.
Taking to social media today (19 June), Post Malone shared a photo of a sign in Nashville that, in smaller print, reveals the album’s title and release date. He captioned the post, “Sup motherfuckas…F-1 Trillion August 16th.”
With the site of the album billboard – Nashville – and his recent forays into country music, it’s fair to assume that his upcoming release will be a full-blown country-inspired extravaganza packed with special guests and showcasing Post’s voice alongside an acoustic guitar (here’s hoping).
The Circles artist has remained atop the Billboard Hot 100 for weeks since launching his country career with I Had Some Help, his duet with country music star Morgan Wallen. Earlier this year, he also featured on Beyoncé’s latest album, Cowboy Carter, on the album highlight Levii’s Jeans.
This month, Post joined forces with another country music star, Blake Shelton, and performed the new song, Pour Me A Drink, which was a surprise appearance at CMA Fest. Post will drop the song this Friday (21 June).

Meanwhile, Post also appeared at Stagecoach festival earlier this year and brought out a list of special guests, including Morgan Wallen, Dwight Yoakam and Brad Paisley.
In November, Post Malone confirmed that he was preparing to release a country album… and he’d been in the studio with Brad Paisley.
“Country record is coming,” the Chemical singer and rapper said in a Twitch livestream as fans asked him if he’d dip into country music. “I keep singing a song that we made while I was in Nashville, and it's so fucking sick, but it's not out.”
Revealing that he’s been in the studio working on two different albums – whether they’re both country-related is unsure – he continued, “We made such sick music down in Nashville. It was so much fun.”
In other Post Malone news, the star will appear at this year’s Global Citizen Festival, performing alongside Coldplay’s Chris Martin, Doja Cat, Jelly Roll and more in Central Park on Saturday, 28 September. You can find out more about the event here.
