It comes in support of their just-released 'Tangk' album.

It’s no secret that IDLES love Australia, having last made the trek Down Under just nine months ago, following another jaunt just eight months prior to then as well. But we certainly haven’t grown sick of the Bristol post-punks – or vice versa – so they’ve slated another tour of our shores for next January.
The east coast excursion will begin at the Riverstage in Brisbane (Meanjin) on Saturday January 18, followed by back-to-back shows at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl in Melbourne (Naarm) and the Hordern Pavilion in Sydney (Eora) on Tuesday January 21 and Wednesday 22, respectively.
Tickets for all three shows go on sale at 1pm local time next Tuesday (April 9), with two presales launching beforehand: one for Mastercard users, running from 12pm this Friday (April 5) to 12pm next Monday (April 8), and one for Live Nation members, running from 1pm on Monday to 12pm on Tuesday. Head here for more info on all three sales.
The tour comes in support of IDLES’ fifth studio album, Tangk, which arrived back in February of this year. Right before it dropped, the band surprised fans with a music video for album cut Grace, for which they re-created Coldplay’s iconic clip for Yellow – complete with a deepfaked Chris Martin.
Reviewing the Melbourne stop of last year’s tour, Joe Dolan wrote of IDLES’ performance for TheMusic.com.au: “The energy provided by the Bristol quintet is unparalleled and utterly joyous. They are masters of chaotic positivity – leading the charge for love and acceptance in a genre often maligned by toxic fandoms and general public misunderstandings.”
