The legendary rock figure is dusting off her leather jacket for another run Down Under
It's been two years since Suzi Quatro announced her then-genuine intention to retire from performing, framing her last tour of Australia as her last tour of Australia.
But, often, even the best-laid plans don't pan out how you expect, and that's how we've found ourselves where we never dreamed to think we'd be: staring down the barrel of another national tour from the legendary bassist.
Sounding a little apologetic for the inadvertent misdirect back in 2014, the celebrated US rocker explained in a statement that Australia is "in my bones … in my blood" and that she's had to come back, with new band QSP and an eight-piece ensemble in tow, after realising she simply missed us too much to stay away any longer.
As she explained to News Corp: "What happens after a couple of years have passed is you start getting people in your sights, saying, 'You’re not really done, how can you not come back?' And then you start the emotional wrestling thinking, 'Oh my god, what have I done?'"

She's not half-arsing the gesture, either, lining up an impressive 17 shows in all corners of the country from February to early March next year. Quatro will perform as one-third of QSP, with guitarist/vocalist Andy Scott (The Sweet) and drummer Don Powell (Slade), as her own opening act, before taking up with her accompanying octet of backing instrumentalists for the main-event performance.
Local fans will have ample opportunity to reacquaint themselves with the resurgent rioter, with Quatro kicking off with a dual showing at Tweed Heads before undertaking her sizeable jaunt through Toowoomba, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth, Sydney, Geelong, Melbourne, Sale, Hobart, Canberra, Wollongong, the Hunter Valley, Mackay, Townsville, Cairns and Darwin, where she wraps up just over a month later.
Tickets for Suzi Quatro's impending return to Australia will be available from Wednesday 12 October, via the artist's website.
