The gloves are off.
It was made official just last week, but the superfight between Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather has already hit a speed bump thanks to rap icon, Ice Cube.
The bout is scheduled to take place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on 26 August, but the finals of the US hip hop star's inaugural basketball tournament, BIG3, is already booked in for that date.
Things could get messy moving forward because, according to TMZ, organisers for the BIG3 tournament have no plans on moving the date and the T-Mobile Arena is currently still advertising the event and selling tickets on its website.

However, it has been reported that the team working on the McGregor/Mayweather showdown are pushing for BIG3 to be moved across to the MGM Grand Garden Arena to make way for the fight which is expected to break a number of records.
Though Ice Cube has not addressed the double booking publicly, he did take to Twitter earlier today to promote the BIG3 tournament which kicks off this weekend.
