Featuring Wagons, All Our Exes Live In Texas, Bahamas and more
When we first reported that a new festival was heading to Hunter Valley's outdoor venue, Dashville, all we had to go by was that we would soon be looking at a new Americana festival called Dashville Skyline.
Just over a month on, Dashville Skyline has announced the first round of Americana, alt-country, folk and psychedelia bands that will be gracing the stages of the themed, family-friendly event.
Leading the pack is Canadian folk muso Afie Jurvanen as Bahamas, as well as alt-country band Wagons and all-girl folk outfit All Our Exes Live In Texas, having recently supported Backstreet Boys.
Rounding out the line-up are Green Mohair Suits, Melody Pool, Lachlan Bryan & The Wildes, The Lonesome Heroes, Olympia, Bell St Delays, Papa Pilko & The Bin Rats, Perry Keyes, Ben Wright Smith and Elwood Myre.

Organiser Matt Johnston says, “This is the first taste of a line up designed to reflect the sparse musical lineage between traditional roots music and modern Americana.
“We’ve already sold out of our early-bird ticket allocation without an artist announcement, which is fantastic. I think that people connect with the genre and are excited about the concept of this festival."
The festival will also feature songwriting sessions, classic cars, American cuisine and the best of the Americana culture — expect lots of vintage gear, rockabilly culture and Route 66-inspired merchandise!
The festival will be held over the October long weekend — Saturday, 3 October and Sunday, 4 October — with a second round of artists due late July.
