“It’s a really simple and fun way to raise funds for a great cause."
Ausmusic T-shirt Day is back baby and this year by reppin' your fave band and showing off their merch, you will also be helping out charity Support Act to raise funds for artists and music workers who are experiencing financial hardship, ill health, injury or mental health issues.
Going down on 16 November and kicking off the 2018 ARIA Week activities, the day celebrates the best of Australian music. All you have to do to get involved is head over to the website here to donate and then do your laundry so you can whip out your favourite band t-shirt and share some snaps using the hashtags #ausmusictshirtday, @supportact and show the world your superior music taste.
“The cool thing about the website is that it enables artists and music lovers to create teams so they can get their workplace, school or social media networks involved in the campaign,” said Support Act CEO Clive Miller.
“It’s a really simple and fun way to raise funds for a great cause and we really hope that music fans across Australia can be our ambassadors and get their workplaces involved; and that artists can mobilise the support of their fans.”
Support Act has also partnered with Levi's who have brought out a range of specially commissioned band tees with all proceeds going to Support Act.
All funds raised will help Support Act expand its new Wellbeing Helpline and continue to provide crisis relief to artists and music workers in need.
