"I am thrilled to be playing the music of a true mastermind of song."
Henry Wagons is returning to his role as the legendary Warren Zevon this April.
The much-loved artist and presenter previously played the American singer-songwriter in October 2019 during the Zevon - Accidentally Like A Martyr preview season.
The production will return for a limited run in April, starting at the West Gippsland Arts Centre in Warragul on 25 April. It will then travel to The Gov in Adelaide and wrap up at The Palms At Crown in Melbourne at the end of the month.
“I am thrilled to be playing the music of a true mastermind of song," said Wagons of the role.
"Zevon, cheekily and charmingly, spins a lyric and winds a melody like no other. Even now, when I’m deep inside his catalogue, my jaw still drops at least once in every song at a random pearl of wisdom. We truly have one hell of a set list to share."
”Zevon’s songs are dark, funny and brilliant all at once," added music director Lachlan Bryan.
