Presenter change for digital station
Melbourne alt-country songwriter and personality Henry Wagons is set to replace Sydney-based songwriter Emma Swift as Double J’s Americana and country presenter.
Swift has held the position since the inception of triple j’s sister digital radio frequency but will now relocate overseas to further her own music career. Wagons will take over the Monday night 8pm slot with a new show ‘Tower Of Song’, which will feature outlaw, roots Americana, blues-rock and alt-country
“It's with heavy heart that I bid farewell to Double J and my show Revelator,” Swift said.
“Working at the station fulfilled a lifelong dream to make music radio at the ABC and I can't thank the Double J team enough for the opportunity. It's been a brilliant year and my love for sharing the music I’m so passionate about to enthusiastic listeners across Australia and around the world has never faltered.

“However, as a musician myself, the road beckons and I am now leaving Australia indefinitely – to tour internationally, make my next record, get back to my adopted neighbourhood in East Nashville and continue my pursuit of all things twangy.”
Wagons is no stranger to media – having developed content for radio, TV and online previously – and as a performer was one of the highlights of this year’s Tamworth Country Music Festival.
