'There Is Something Called Basic Respect': GWAR Band Members Engage In Online Fight Over Shock Exit

Shock-rock band GWAR today announced the departure of Kim Dylla, from the group on their official Facebook — the only problem is that Dylla claims to have never been told prior to the announcement being released. 

Dylla, who has played the on stage character of Vulvatron since September last year was as surprised as fans were when the statement was released, citing that the character would remain without Dylla and soon after she became embroiled in an online clash with her GWAR guitarist, Brent Purgason. 

Taking to her own Facebook, the singer said: "It's really nice when you find out important things from people you consider to be your friends from posts on the internet and messages from strangers."

"There is something called basic respect not existing in that modus of communication..." she wrote, before adding that she was actively looking for a new heavy metal band to join who: "Must be chill dudes and down with beer drinking hellraisers."

It didn't take long for Purgason to reply to Dylla's post claiming that the band told her earlier this year that her services would no longer be required.

“I did tell her in person. January 5th of this year. I’m trying to stay out of this thread but I don’t like being villainized when that’s not the truth" he wrote back. 

The two engaged in a back and forth argument with Dylla arguing she was ever only told that her character would not be used for some time, rather than that she was being let go to which Purgason refuted, claiming that her post was written purely to shame the band. 

He then went on to say her drinking habits were also factored in to the decision, to which she replied: "Sorry but having 2 or 3 lite beers in the course of 4 or 5 hours is not showing up wasted."

The argument concluded with Dylla taking a much more sensitive approach, writing: "I was absolutely not told you were getting someone else to play my character. Otherwise I wouldn’t be upset about this."

"I am just upset I had to find out you were getting a new Vulvatron via a public post we agreed not to make rather than a private conversation which it should have been."

The band are yet to announce who will take over the Vulvatron character.
