This marks the first time the iconic frontman has toured the country
Former Bauhaus frontman Peter Murphy will tour Australia for the first time in January.
The tour will see Murphy perform classic tracks from his Bauhaus days, as well as plenty of music from his acclaimed solo efforts. His most recent album Ninth was released midway through 2011.
Murphy is often regarded as one of the pioneers of gothic rock music in the early 80s with Bauhaus considered the first band of the genre. Their debut single Bela Lugosi's Dead has somewhat of a cult status, after the band performed it in the 1983 horror film The Hunger.
Tickets go on sale Thursday 18 October through Metropolis Touring.
