Glass Animals Plot November 2024 Return To Australia

One of Australia’s favourite international bands, Glass Animals, will return down under this November.

After a one-off intimate show at Sydney’s Liberty Hall back in May that followed their massive 2022 Australian tour, which saw them perform at Splendour In The Grass and Spin Off festivals, and massive venues in Perth (HBF Stadium), Sydney (two nights at the Hordern Pavilion) and Melbourne (John Cain Arena), the British group have plotted their return, which includes three huge East Coast dates.

With their highly anticipated fourth album, I Love You So F***ing Much, on the way – due for release next month – it’s a good time for Glass Animals to return to Australia.

Out of arenas and into the outdoors, Glass Animals will perform at Melbourne’s Sidney Myer Music Bowl (Wednesday, 20 November), Brisbane’s Riverstage (Friday, 22 November), and the Sydney Opera House Forecourt (Tuesday, 26 November).

In a hilarious statement, Glass Animals frontman Dave Bayley said of the band’s return down under,

Australia. We love you so f***ing much.
When we first came to tour over there, we only had like four songs. So, we played them twice. And you forgave us. And then you gave us our first ever hottest 100 success with Gooey. And then you embraced Heat Waves so hard I tattooed the shape of Australia on my arse cheek. It is my only tattoo. I forget it’s there sometimes, and it startles me when I get out of my bubble bath. But it makes me v happy. And I feel the same announcing this new Australian tour. The same happiness I feel when looking at my arse in the mirror.

Glass Animals’ song, Heat Waves, has been an Aussie favourite since its release in June of 2020 - a fact cemented by the group’s position atop the Hottest 100 only a few months later. By April 2022, Heat Waves remained the biggest song in Australia.
