"The greatest thing you could ever ask for.”
US artist Frank Iero has inked a worldwide deal with UNFD ahead of the release of his new album, Barriers.
The former My Chemical Romance guitarist will release his third solo LP on May 31, joined by backing band Future Violents, which features long-time collaborator Evan Nestor, Matt Armstrong (ex-Murder by Death), Tucker Rule (Thursday) and Kayleigh Goldsworthy (Golds, Dave Hause).
Iero said he was “super excited to be joining the UNFD family”.
“We've known each other for a long time and the opportunity to be finally working together with people who really understand the project and believe in it is the greatest thing you could ever ask for.”
Fans will be able to get a taste of the 14-track album later this week with the premiere of lead single Young And Doomed.
The last time Iero visited Australia was in support of his second solo album, Parachutes, in 2016, which resulted in a near-fatal crash in Sydney.
